Audrey Faith Cluck born May 10, 2015
(5-10-15....a pretty cool birthday!!)
5:19 am, 6lb and 19 3/4 inches long.
These were all amazing numbers for being 5 weeks early. Audrey is a strong girl who loves to eat, sleep, and make funny faces.
The last week has been a roller-coaster for the Cluck family. Audrey's birth happening on Mother's Day was a special miracle. Her strong health was also a miracle. Two days after Audrey was born she started to loose weight, her temperature was dropping, and she was very jaundice (a baby's liver isn't mature enough to get rid of bilirubin in the bloodstream). Audrey's body was just not ready to be working so hard; she should still be growing inside her mommy! Audrey was moved to the NICU Tuesday evening. Over the past few days she had a feeding tube put in her nose down to her stomach and was put in an isolette to keep her warm. After a few day of eating really well her feeding tube was removed and now we wait and hope (and pray) she will starting gaining weight and regulating her body temperature so that she can be removed from the isolette and come home.
Thank you for the wonderful BABY SHOWER and generous gifts. Audrey is blessed with so many people who already care about her. THANK YOU!
Keep sending those prayers up to our Father, not just for Audrey, but also for all the other families with new babies at Zion. I am so blessed to have been given such an amazing little girl, such a precious gift from God.
