It has been awhile...

It has been way too long since I posted a 7th grade blurb, so get ready for LOTS of information.  Your child should be communicating this information to you so hopefully none of this is new, just reminders!  Also, this lack of blogging is a transition into 8th grade were there are not weekly news letter or blog posts.  Your child will be responsible for communicating information and paper work from the classroom to you.  I can't believe we are already talking about 8th grade!

Success:
  • Achievement tests went well, you will be receiving scores with 4th quarter report cards at the end of the school year
  • Thrive was a hit, Mr. Brad was excellent at communicating important information and he was also quite the comedian :)  The kids like him a lot.  I especially liked that he brought faith into the discussion.  Amen!
  • We've made it to the 4th quarter and are in the sprint to the end of the year.  So many achievements have been met, yet there is always more learning and growing to experience.  It's amazing to see the development of these students as they eagerly await their 8th grade year.  I continue to teach the importance of quality school work and taking pride in that work.  I don't want to see any lazy-spring fever qualities sprout up in these last weeks.  It is so important to continue practicing positive study habits all year round.  Maybe even take advantage of sitting outside to do school work in the beautiful fresh air!
