Week 32

Jefferson City: The 7th grade class had a very fun and successful class trip on Thursday to Jefferson City. I took many pictures trying to capture various moments along the trip -- enjoy!!  Your kiddos were very well behaved and respectful; I love hearing "outsiders" complement the students attitudes and behavior. Students enjoyed all parts of the trip and I never hear a single complaint!!  They walked, toured, ate, played, hiked and enjoyed each other's company.  Mrs. Murray and I were very impressed with their young Christian attitudes. Fun was had by all! Check out the pictures at the bottom of this post.

Academics: We are reaching the end of the year and kids might be loosing a little focus...here is what we have coming up this week:

- Literature Outsiders Prezi due Monday
- Science test The Nervous System Monday

- Social Studies Samurai test Tuesday
- Religion/Art Stained Glass Window due Friday
- Memory Tuesday & Friday

Help us keep the kids on track for the last 4 weeks of school -- we can do it!

Here is a message from Mr. Debrick regarding the new building:

Seeing changes outside, but wonder what is happening inside the walls? Lots! Mark Lekar, Marc Debrick, and others will be conducting tours to members and school parents interested in seeing the progress inside the school’s construction zone.

The tours will take place this Sunday, April 27 from 10:30 – 12:30 pm. The building will be open during those times and we will ask entry into the new buildings to be through the school hallway doors adjacent to the kitchen and Miss Limback’s room (inside the main school building). Please, no access by crossing any fence lines (too many obstacles and possibly mud if you cross a fence). You will be free to roam once inside and several folks will be present to answer questions.

Please be cognizant that this is a construction site and all smaller children must be kept in check to avoid any possible injuries – we want all to visit and enjoy the excitement but caution that all must be careful while the site is open.

Message from Mr. Marolf regarding Athletic Awards Night:

Our Athletic Awards night is coming up.  It will take place on Thursday, May 15th at 7pm.  This event will be located in the fellowship hall located downstairs, as usual.  This invitation is to all 5th-8th graders who participated in our athletic program (this includes academic team).  Each participant will recieve a certificate.  Also, we will hand out this years Bobcat Award along with our Male and Female Christian Athlete of the Year award!  See you then.

Blessings on your last weekend in April,
