West African Trading

Wow!  I have neglected our blog for too long.  Here's an update on our classroom activities:

> Students are studying Africa in World History; everything from its geography, the salt & gold trade, to modern culture.  Students became West African gold traders & North African salt traders during a few class periods to experience first hand the trading which made the Ganah's kingdom thrive with wealth.  Here are some pictures capturing the dramatic trading.

Some traders didn't want to pay their taxes!
How much gold can I get for this salt?
Which is more valuable, salt or gold?

Traders tried everything to avoid those taxes!
 Trader attitude!
