After hearing all the fun summer stories, our class has enjoyed being with friends (and teachers) once again. They listened to Miss Poppitz, Mrs. Stewart, Mrs. Beaty, Mrs. Riemenschneider, and Mr. Marolf explain how their classrooms will be run and the great LEARNING opportunities that will take place this year.
As Jr. High students the 7th graders will have many leadership roles to fill. We will bring the preschool class their lunch everyday, we will clean up the playground after recess, many students play on sports teams and are members of girl/boy scout. I will continue to encourage my students to become involved in areas where the talents GOD has given them can GROW and shine.
Student Council is another area where students can become involved. This is a group of 6th-8th grade students who meet with Mrs. Stewart and me (Miss Poppitz) once a week planning school events, service projects, building leadership skills & character, and learning what it means to be a representative of your school.
I'll end with a quote from one student: "This was the most exciting week of the entire year!" I know my students will keep me smiling all year long!
In God's Grace,
